Jiggs Whigham

Telefunken – 6.23008

Absolutely Knot

HOPE is a very delicious, high quality German Jazz release. Jiggs Whigham, an excellent trombonist, recorded this album 1976 in Cologne with some great European Jazz musicians. Contains the lovely ABSOLUTELY KNOT with a light Brazilian feeling in the beat and some happy grooving Fender Rhodes. More relaxed, but also highly recommended, is the funky OWA TAGU SIAM (Oh What A Goose I Am) with great bass-lines by Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen.

From this album was different releases (different versions, different countries, different serial numbers) available. But all have this nice cover artwork and for sure the same great music!
