Mark Murphy – Midnight Mood (1968)

SABA – SB 15 151 ST, GERMANY, 1968

VG/VG+
Rare original first press (SB 15 151 ST) on SABA records. Heavy used vintage 60s vinyl. Cleaned but the vinyl surface shows several light scratches and signs of use. Plays mostly with crisp vintage vinyl noises. Used but still very useful. It’s still a pleasure to listen to and enjoy the music. The cover looks nice with some signs of age. The cover picture is a generic one and has nothing to do with the actual offer.

Mark Murphy
Midnight Mood

SABA ‎– SB 15 151 ST
Germany
1968

A fantastic album by singer Mark Murphy – certainly one of his best ever. The session was recorded in the late 60s for the SABA label in the Black Forest. Accompanied by a small combo that emerged from the legendary Clark-Boland Big Band, which was also working on studio recordings on location at the time. Included are WHY AND HOW, the Brazilian-flavoured SCONSOLATO and many other great vocal jazz pieces.
