QUELQUEPART – S.B. 5301, FRANCE, 1977

VG+/VG
Mega rare vintage vinyl in used shape. Lower VG+ shape with several light scratches. Track B2 plays noisy, otherwise only between the tunes and on silent parts are some crispy background noises to discover. But mostly great, DJ-friendly sound. Listen via my YouTube upload below. What you hear is what you get, the sound file comes from this copy! The cover shows massive wear, yellowing, and it’s losing the lamination. Please see the pictures.

Family Rush

Quelquepart – S.B. 5301
France
1977

Absolutely obscure and obviously also rare French session recording of a group called FAMILY RUSH directed by Syd Dale. Weird, brave, and also very daring cover versions of some of the biggest pop, soul, and rock hits of the time. Everything is super funky towards DISCO and spiced with psychedelic grooves, male and female vocals in different languages, and some wah-wah guitar on top. Stand-out versions that will surprise your audience are FOOL ON THE HILL and Marvin Gaye’s GOT TO GIVE IT UP!
