Superb copy. Clean, very carefully used. Strong EXCELLENT, not far away from to NM condition. The cover show storage wear, signs of age. Light beginning of ring wear and edge wear. Somebody has written on the backside (pre-owner name). The cover picture is a generic one, has nothing to do with the actual offer.

SOUL STEEL & SHOW

Another album with Black Dutch Music on the Negram label. THE DUTCH RHYTHM STEEL & SHOW BAND a.k.a. Trinidad Oil Company was formed in 1969 in Zaandam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. Insane stage outfit for the photography and a crazy typeface selection for the cover artwork but this dope packaging is not promising too much … the sound is a weird kind of SOUL and there are some unusual versions to discover. Very first this crazy vocal cover of FUNKY STUFF by Kool & The Gang followed by a pure Steel Drum version of SHAFT (Isaac Hayes). But there is also HEY JOE (Jimi Hendrix), a catchy tune that brings a new soulful perspective to Neil Young’s doing DOWN BY THE RIVER and some other dope covers and mad versions.
