Selected Sound ‎– Folklore-Serie – JAPAN (1983)

Great copy! Used but still very useful and DJ-friendly. The vinyl shows some minimal surface scratches and marks. But it plays great. Mostly much more EXCELLENT but partly are some minor vintage vinyl background noises to hear. The important tune PICTURES OF JAPAN XIV plays perfect, NM vinyl in this section! The cover is little yellowed and shows an original DM 16.90 price sticker. The cover picture is a generic one, has nothing to do with the actual offer.

Yes, JAPAN and of course a photo of Daibutsu the Big Buddha in Kamakura (鎌倉市 Kamakura-shi) on the front cover. All tunes are in a traditional style, Japanese instrumentations. Composed by the German Victor Cavini (a pseudonym used by Gerhard Trede for Library Music compositions). One tune, the brilliant PICTURES OF JAPAN XIV, is towering on this album. It’s totally different in a good way because it combines the more traditional Japanese appearing instruments like Koto or Bamboo Shakuhachi with some funky drums, groovy electric bass and psychedelic fuzz guitar.
