PLÄNE – S 88 120, GERMANY, 1977

VG/VG+
Used shape, light scratches, partly crispy background noises. Still DJ-friendly sound! The cover looks nice with some wear. Contains the insert. The cover picture is a generic one, has nothing to do with the actual offer.

Mein schönes Portugal… This German release is a vinyl-reissue of the one year earlier released album called Com As Minhas Tamanquinhas (STAT 036) ‎on the Orfeu record label from Portugal.

José Afonso, often referred to as Zeca Afonso, was one of the most influential folk and political musicians in Portuguese history. Protest-poetry and songs about solidarity also on this album. Political criticism delivered on groovy vibes. My favorite tune is called COMO SE FAZ UM CANALHA what could be translated with “How to become a scoundrel”. Cathy scatting vocals and a well measured insert of Cuica, the Brazilian percussion instrument that sounds like a monkey.
