1977 formation of the hr Big Band from the local German TV station (Hessischer Rundfunk). Direction by Heinz Schönberger, Peter Herbolzheimer and Dieter Reith. The album contains some nice tunes in the typical European Big Band Funk style. Check out the Brazilian CASA FORTE written by Edu Lobo or this lovely tune called AFRICA. Further worth to listen is SOMEWHERE ON THE HILLS which is written by Antônio Carlos Jobim.
