Relaxed jazz album, the quality kind of lazy afternoon sound. Some of the tracks are written by Wolfgang Engstfeld himself but it contains also music written by Miles Davis or Thelonious Monk for example. A great album that you can easily let run through when you have guests for tea time at home or even while you are driving a car. It contains HILLS, written by Wolfgang Engstfeld which shows the huge variety of Bass player Gunnar Plümer and also the great teamwork of this jazz trio.
The cutting edge cover design comes out of Solingen, a German city which is famous for cutting things. Graphic Designer Manfred Brock did a great job with this one. Clean, well-adjusted, and catchy. With this nice red that goes around the black cover like a package band. Manfred Brock was also responsible for other nice designed covers on the NABEL (belly button) record label.
