The debut album by German New Wave and Schlager singer Peter Schilling. While numerous German artists tried to imitate David Bowie in the early 80s, Peter Schilling went one step further and released MAJOR TOM (Coming Home), a synth-pop retelling of Bowie’s classic SPACE ODDITY. But besides this Neue Deutsche Welle hit, which is definitely heard too often in Germany, there are also good, lesser-known tracks on the album.
