Self-published big band and easy listening music by the Fred Rabold Orchestra. This album contains HARD TOP! A groovy, good-mood instrumental soul track with gripping tempo breaks and brass sections. The only thing you might miss is Barry White’s deep whistling voice. Fun and funky tune from the pen of German library composer Horst Abel.
„I see my task as bringing joy through music“
Fred Rabold (1922 – 1993) was a German composer, flute/saxophone player, and big band leader. The Fred Rabold Orchestra appeared in radio and television broadcasts and was successful with live shows throughout Germany and Europe.
With his publishing company, Fred Rabold released his music on self-produced records in small editions. Big band sound from genres such as jazz, Latin, funk & soul … often easy listening and sometimes over the edge to German Blasmusik. He delivered entertaining music for different tastes. Often in collaboration with or directly commissioned by local TV and radio stations.
Fred Rabold was also the father of jazz artist Frédéric Rabold. He and his brother, Dominique Rabold, were also often orchestra members and involved in music productions. After Fred Rabold died in 1993, Dominique Rabold took his father’s place and organizes the orchestra’s activities, and produces light music.
