Debut album by the folky female vocal group LAPISLAZULI, released on the Frankfurt located label RillenWerke. Feminist folk-pop, scat vocals and swing with socially critical lyrics and a very serious jazz line-up (Wolfgang Tiepold, Michael Thierfelder, Matthias Frey and others). Contains many great jazzy versions of classics, such as WATERMELON MAN, originally by Herbie Hancock, which can be rediscovered here in very unusual grooving versions.
