Hildegard Knef – Applaus (1975)

EX/VG
Superb copy. Shiny, glossy clean and perfect sounding. Solid EXCELLENT, mostly even NM condition. The cover frontside looks also great. But the backside shows fissures and ugly blends. The cover picture is a generic one and has nothing to do with the actual offer.

Hildegard Knef
Applaus

Philips – 6303 136
Germany
1975

The album by German diva Hildegard Knef from 1975 includes the witty, groovy and percussively overloaded title COFFEE SONG. Not really Brazilian music full of obscure clichés about Brazil. The lyrics caricature the Brazilian coffee surplus and sing about the fact that there are no other drinks. I just hope that no Brazilian has ever gotten these stereotypic lyrics wrong. It’s a German-language cover version of THE COFFEE SONG, a song written by Bob Hilliard and Dick Miles, which was first recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1946.
