Rock Feierwerk
Sieger ’87
–
Feierwerk – München
Germany
1987
Today very seldom seen vinyl compilation that featuring the four winners of a local band contest. Realized by FEIERWERK e.V. in Munich, a venue for concerts, party and other cultural events. ROCK-FEIERWERK was, during that time, a yearly competition to give members of the young music scene from Munich a stage and the option to release a recording. The ROCK-FEIERWERK winners ’87 was Trimolo, Freetime, Jaiana and Gay Dogs. For myself is this compilation important because of the two stunning tunes by Trimolo.
Tempo 100
Such a brilliant tune. So unbelievably good. Relaxed, Balearic and quite the right sound to drive with a caravan trailer and TEMPO 100 KM/H into direction sun. This first version, available exclusively on this compilation is slightly different than the later released album version. Just a couple of seconds longer and some other, near inaudible, differences.
Schwein gehabt
If I got it right Trimolo was the only ROCK-FEIERWERK Sieger ’87 that has later also an own album release. One year later. Self-titled and self-released on MOLOMUSIC. So this ROCK-FEIERWERK compilation is the very first release they had and instantly with two big tunes. Besides TEMPO 100 there is also another Electro-Jazz masterpiece called SCHWEIN GEHABT which was only available on this compilation.
