The wonderful second album PARA VOCÊ by the German formation Birdland, founded in 1982 and represented on this release by the core group of Hans Greuel (bass, vocals), Thomas Oldenburg (drums), Heinz Pütz (guitar) and Claus Recktenwald (keyboards). Great Latin, Brazilian, Bossanova and Balearic jazz sounds with fine acoustic guitar and lots of percussions. Their own compositions, which are inspired by Latin American models, were created far away from South America in Lengsdorf, a district of the federal city of Bonn. There are also some guest musicians on this album. For example, you can also hear the delicious female voice of Gisela Ackermann on IN YOUR EYES! Also this second album was self-financed and released in a very small edition on the local and obscure music label RATTEN PLATTEN and also only sold locally for just 5,- DM to friends at their concerts.
