Meleg Az Éjszaka

Hungarian Disco-Pop with a tropical holiday breath. Well-balanced arrangement on the relaxed exotic Disco beat with 113 BPM. Decent use of strings, froggy synths and the nice voice of Szűcs Judith, often also mentioned as the “Disco Queen” in Hungary.

Űrdiszkó (Disco In The Space)

1953 born in Budapest, the Hungarian female singer (former skilled hairdresser) Judith Szűcs startet her singing career at the chorus „Frühling ´67“. She was also member of Beatrice, the first Hungarian female pop band and in 1978 she released for the first time a solo album. Followed by many others and everyone contains also some rudimental Funk & Soul or Disco tunes, but sometimes also a little bit overloaded produced for my eyers.

Judith Szűcs was very popular at the end of the 70’s and in the beginning of the 80’s. Well known and successful also outside of Hungary.  Very faithful fans in East Germany (DDR), Soviet Union but also far away from East Europe for example in Japan, Cuba or in USA she find listeners and fans. Because of her externally alikeness she was also sometimes called the „Vicky Leandros of the East“.
